SAN DIEGO—May 31, 2012–MultiCultural IPA, (www.multiculturalipa.com) a group of independent physicians, received the highest achievement among its peers, the “Elite Status” Standards of Excellence Award by the California Association of Physician Groups (www.capg.org) for providing quality, affordable healthcare to patients. CAPG is the nation’s largest professional association representing physicians practicing managed care.

MultiCultural IPA is among 30 organizations that qualified for the “Elite” category–caring for an estimated 9 million people. The physician group exceeded a peer-defined threshold in four categories and met the most stringent criteria to date held by CAPG.
